Updating the software of data center firewall in the TRE (beendet)

The data center firewall software in the building TRE (Cisco FirePower with ACI connectivity to protect services in the ACI fabric) must be updated to address security breaches. This will be carried out on 26.08. between 8:00 and 12:00.

The data center firewall at the second and redundancy location TRE is not designed to be redundant. As a result, the firewall will fail during the upgrade, resulting in loss of connectivity for all connected protected services.

The following services in the TRE are affected by the failure:

Enterprise Cloud Secondary/Redundancy Location
Diensteforest (AD) Secondary/Redundancy Location
Management Access ESXi hosts and vCenter TRE
These services are only available again after the update.

The following are not affected by the failure
VoIP server TRE
DOM-AD TRE
MSX TRE
Research Cloud
Ceph
Backup
