Updating the software of the datacenter firewall in TRE (beendet)

The data center firewall software in the TRE (Cisco FirePower with ACI connectivity to protect services in the ACI fabric) must be updated to address security vulnerabilities. This will be carried out on 08.12. between 8:00 and 12:00.

The datacenter firewall at the second and redundancy site TRE is not designed to be redundant. As a result, the firewall will fail during the upgrade, resulting in loss of connectivity of all connected protected services.

The following services in TRE are affected by the failure:

Enterprise Cloud Secondary/Redundancy Location (141.30.60.0/23, 172.26.56.0/22)
Service Forum (AD) Secondary/Redundancy Site (172.26.32.0/24)
Management Access ESXi Hosts and vCenter TRE
VM Management in the Self-Service Portal for Research Cloud and Enterprise Cloud TRE
These services are only available again after the update.

The following are not affected by the failure
VoIP server TRE (172.28.4.0/24)
DOM-AD TRE (172.26.41.0/24)
MSX TRE (172.26.35.0/24)
Research Cloud (172.26.62.0/23)
