Update & Redundancy Test Backbone Router TRE & LZR (beendet)

On Thu, 30.03.2023, 17:00 - 19:00 hrs, the software update of the backbone routers in TRE & LZR, which was cancelled in November, will be made up for. All buildings in the TRE & LZR area are redundantly connected to both routers, so that the update should run without failures. During the last update attempt, an error occurred unexpectedly despite the redundancy, which resulted in a short TRE area-wide network interruption. Measures are being taken this time to ensure that this error does not occur again during the update.

Following 19:00 - 23:00, tests of the router redundancy will be carried out. As the routers are specifically put under stress, the network in the TRE & LZR area as well as the HPC (Taurus) & WLAN campus-wide may be affected.

Please inform the persons in your area of responsibility.
