Work on the central mail relay - changes to spam rating and virus checking, 09.04.2025 from 10:00 Uhr (anstehend)

On 9 April 2025 from 10:00 a.m., the mail routing for the domains tu-dresden.de and mailbox.tu-dresden.de will be changed.

Messages to these domains will then be routed via the servers of the DFN-Mailsupport service of the Association for the Promotion of a German Research Network (DFN).

The DFN-Mailsupport service then takes over the spam evaluation and virus check for these messages.
Messages to other domains are not affected and will continue to undergo the previous spam evaluation and virus check.

Messages with a high spam rating will continue to be rejected. The threshold for this rejection is now the same for all recipient addresses and can no longer be configured in the self-service portal.

The DFN-Mailsupport service writes X-DFN-Spam header lines in the messages.
From spam level 6.2, the messages are labelled as spam in the header and delivered to the spam folder by the Exchange. The previous spam check and the X-Spam header lines are retained.
