Update: Further work will be done starting from Monday, 25/03, 16:00
From Tuesday, March 19th, until Thursday, March 28th, ACI fabric software upgrades are scheduled. In order to get to the current software version, a multi-hop ugrade has to be executed on all controllers and switches. Afterwards, all ACI components on the virtualisation hosts (ESX and Hyper-V) need a refresh.
Scheduled tasks:
Tue, 19/03 16:00 - 22:00: 1st Upgrade Controller + Switches
Wed, 20/03 16:00 - 22:00: 2nd Upgrade Controller + Switches, if necessary refresh of some ESXi Hosts
Thu, 21/03 9:00 - 17:00: Refresh of ACI-components on ESX Host, subsequent works
Should we encounter unexpected difficulties during the 1st upgrade, these will be tackled on Wednesday and Thursday. In this event all subsequent tasks start on Tuesday, March 26th.
Currently planned schedule:
Mon, 25/03 from 16:00: Remaining work from last week
Tue, 26/03 from 16:00: 2nd Upgrade Controller + Switches
Wed, 27/03 from 9:00: Refreshing ACI-components on ESX Hosts
All referred components are secured through redundancy. Thus, we do not expect long outtages. Anyways, short interferences might occur.
To avoid interactions during the upgrade times, no other changes should be conducted (i.e. provisioning and deprovisioning of servers, os upgrades, ACI configurations, provisioning of VM, server restarts etc).
