Upgrade aller[1] VMware Umgebungen gg. ZombieLoad (beendet)

On May 21, 2019, all-day patches released by VMware to close the new ZombieLoad CPU vulnerability will be applied to all[1] ESXi hosts and associated ZIH vCenter instances on May 21, 2019.

The vSphere web client of the Enterprise Cloud in the LZR (https://vc-enterprise-lzr.zih.tu-dresden.de) and the VM management in the Self-Service-Portal will be temporarily (~30 minutes) unavailable during the update. This update must take place before the ESXi hosts are updated. We plan to do this between 9:00 and 11:00.
This update has no effect on the operation of the VMs.

[1] The ESXi hosts of the SAP cluster are excluded from the update. These will be updated at a later date and in consultation with the ZUV colleagues.
